Freelance impact facilitator and researcher
Educated as a researcher, working freelance and in the past with different social justice organizations, I am enjoying a variety of sectors, contexts and places around the world. What I do? With a strong sense of purpose and dedication I guide creative initiatives and organizations to reveal, measure and create more impact. I contribute to the development of projects at the intersection of art, culture and societal opportunities. In 2022 an evaluation for World Press Photo allowed me to dive into the world of phtojournalism and I assessed how the new strategy of the organization allows phtographers to tell stories from all over the world, using different visual languages. I am also working with the Prince Claus Fund on a learning journey on how cultural foundations and funders can improve their practice to allow the forces of art to flourish. In 2021 I reviewed the evaluation system of an arts and culture program at Hivos; mainly by learning from maker communities about what are useful ways of evaluating for them. I will also be contributing to the ongoing development of future thinking labs, the repositioning of Stichting DOEN, and, as a board member, I will continue to support the professionalization of Leiden Shorts film festival.
